TRAVELERS ALERT - IMPORTANT DEBIT CARD NOTICE
If you provide CCECU
your travel dates, destination/s, and a contact number where
we can reach you, we can alert our Debit Card Fraud unit in
advance to avoid Debit Card service interruptions while you
are traveling. Please note: If you are traveling to a country
that is blocked by Master Card due to regulations, you will
need to have an alternate source of funding your travel.
BEWARE of current calls or text messages on cell
phones claiming possible fraud on your account and requesting
account information. They often do not name a specific
institution, because they are Phishing (process of trying to
fraudulently obtain personal financial information).
Don’t call the number.
Cell phone and text message scammers probably found your
number randomly. Much like replying to spam is a bad idea, a
return call to the scammers confirms for them that they
pinpointed a working number. This could increase your chances
of receiving other scam messages.
