CCECU Hurricane Notice

WHAT WILL YOU DO?  ARE YOU PREPARED?

BEFORE THE STORM:

What will this hurricane season bring?  Pre-planning cannot be stressed enough!  The time to prepare is BEFORE the storm!  Having CASH ON HAND will be critical!  The Credit Union may not be operative immediately after the storm.  There may be no power.  The building may be destroyed.   Until the all-clear signal is given, police will prohibit travel.  Cash withdrawal amounts may be limited, depending on the amount of cash the Credit Union can reasonably have on hand or gain access to.  YOU MUST PREPARE IN ADVANCE

WHEN A WATCH IS ISSUED:

The Credit Union will extend office hours as is reasonably safe to do so.  However, remember to add CASH to your pre-hurricane checklist.  Depend on your ATM/Debit Card as a backup only.  Power and cash replenishment resources may be limited.

WHEN A WARNING IS ISSUED, THE CREDIT UNION WILL CLOSE:

While we will reopen to the membership as quickly as possible, our primary concern will be the safety of our employees and their families, and much will rely on the amount of physical damage incurred, the availability of power, telephone communications, etc.  Emergency cash withdrawals may be limited to $300.00.

IF YOU HAVE NO EMERGENCY CASH FUND AND WILL RELY ON CREDIT, APPLY NOW FOR A HURRICANE LIFELINE LOAN

As you know, insurance deductibles have increased.   Are you ready?  Those members with CCECU's Pre-approved Hurricane Lifeline Line of Credit Loan will receive priority loan service.

Thank you for your cooperation!

USA Patriot Act Identity Verification Notice

On October 26, 2001, President Bush signed into law the U.S.A. Patriot Act.  The purpose of this law is to help protect you, your family, and our country from terrorism.  Preventing terrorist financing is one way we can help prevent terrorism.  We want you to know that section 326 of this Act requires our credit union to verify the identity of all new credit union members.  We must also verify the identity of members and nonmembers added as signatures to, and who have access to, new or existing deposit accounts and loans.  We must also retain copies of documents used to verify your identity.

If you are an existing member who joined the credit union before the U.S.A. Patriot Act rules became effective, we may also need to verify and retain copies of any documents used to verify your identity when you request a new deposit account, apply for a loan, or are added as a signatory to a new or existing deposit or loan account.

We ask for your identification as we work to support these efforts to maintain the security of your funds and our country.  Please speak with a credit union staff member if you have any questions or concerns about our identity verification policies.
